Kogutex tjestenine d.o.o. is the leading producer of Zagorski mlinci – a traditional Croatian flat-baked pasta from the Zagorje region, handmade according to a centuries-old recipe and one of the rare Croatian food products to carry full EU Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status.

The PGI designation – Zaštićena oznaka zemljopisnog podrijetla at EU level – means that Zagorski mlinci produced under our name meet strict criteria of origin, method and quality that are legally protected across the entire European Union. This is not a marketing claim. It is a designation earned through audit, documentation and ongoing compliance.

This national quality designation is awarded independently and confirms that the product meets the highest standards of Croatian food quality – in ingredients, production method and consistency.

We are also certified producers audited and verified by Bureau Veritas Croatia – one of the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification bodies. Their independent verification of our production processes is not a formality. It is the foundation on which every product that leaves our facility is built.
